Label your boxes

It can be very tempting when you're surrounded by your belongings and feeling pressed for time to just throw everything in boxes and say "I'll sort it out later" but believe us when we say you will regret this!

We recommend you take a step back, calm down and think about how you want your things to be organised when it comes to moving into your new home. Organising everything by room is a great way of making sure you'll have everything where you need it when it comes to moving day. It will also mean you have to spend a lot less time sorting through boxes for your essentials which is not a stress you need on the first day in your new house!

Make sure you let everyone know you're moving

  • Employer
  • Your local authority (Council tax and Electoral roll)
  • Any magazine subscriptions
  • TV licence
  • Broadband
  • DVLA

  • Doctors

Contact us for removals

Now getting in the know when it comes to removals is something we would always recommend, but this doesn't mean you should jump at the first quote you're given!

Get in there early so you have time to think over your decision and ensure you're getting the best deal.

Also, it is an idea to make sure you're getting a good service for your money - a good removals company will make your moving day a lot easier so be sure to look at reviews and ask friends for recommendations. You'll be happy you put the effort in when it comes to moving day.

Visit our removals page to find out how we can help you move.

Have a deep clean

When moving into your new home it is a fresh start. A great way to make the most of this is by having a deep clean of your new home before you move a single box in. What better way to start the next part of your life than in a nice, clean environment?

If you can afford it, it's a great idea to organise a professional cleaner to get in before the removals team arrive with your belongings!
